For those of you who may not know the history behind this tournament, it was started 10 years ago, by Addy Armstrong and Kelly Carr.  Addy's best friend - Irene Hilderman - who was Kelly's Mom, and a well-known bowler in Winnipeg, had passed away several years earlier.  When the opportunity arose, Addy and Kelly were able to create this tournament in Irene's memory, naming it the A(rmstrong) & H(ilderman) Doubles.  They have kept it going for the past 10 years.

There were 16 Entries @ $30.00 = $480.00 + $300.00 Added  =  $780.00 Prize Money

The entries were down this year from 23 last year to 16 this year.  However, we have some new potential format ideas for next year to see if we can boost these numbers.  Stay tuned!

Noteable scores: Danielle Lemoine 223, 238, 300, 761, Crystal Berens 202, Ilona Gousseau 215, 219, Sherry Hobson 228, 214, 215, 203, 632, Shirley Brown 206, Marlene Baptiste 204, Barb Stacyszyn 225, The highest game of the Tournament was 300 and the lowest was 77.

Danielle Lemoine receives a CTF 750 series chevron for having a series of 761, 125 pins over average and a ring for a 300 game. Marlene Baptiste receives a CTF 500 series chevron 

Thanks to Addy Armstrong our Tournament Director. As usual, Addy Armstrong donated $100.00 towards the Tournament prize money, along with the WTBA that donated $200.00. Thanks also to Elaine Yamron, Joan Craig, Joan Cymbalisty, Wanda Howard, Kelly Carr, Eleanor Young and Ron Molinski for helping to run the tournament. A big thanks to Pam Buote for selling 50/50 tickets for CancerCare.

Thanks to Angela and Celine Rioux for making the special cakes (see above pictures) for the 10th anniversary of the A & H  Doubles. Thank you very much.

Thanks to Ed McCarthy and the staff at LaVerendrye Bowling Lanes for the excellent service provided during the tournament.
