We are including the descriptions of our association tournaments below, to help give you an idea of the tournaments that are available to you.  As we work towards completing this section of the website, you will see more descriptions, as well as the tournament rules and entry forms for our tournaments.  Feel free to print out the entry form on your own, complete it, and deliver it to the Tournament Director.

MBA Annual Tournament
This tournament includes Ladies', Mens', and Mixed teams, singles and doubles events, in two separate divisions (160 average and under, and 161 average and over).  Mixed Teams and Doubles only has one division.  All-Events scratch winners get $150 towards the Canadian National Championships, should they attend.  There is even a Seniors Division.

MBA Annual Seniors Tournament
This tournament offers Seniors (age 50 and over) an opportunity to qualify to represent Manitoba at the USBC Senior Championships held in Reno, Nevada during the summer.

MBA Youth Open Tournaments
There is a series of Youth Open Tournaments being held throughout the season.  These are scratch tournaments, but the new innovation is that there are 3 separate categories, based on age -  Bantam (ages 11 and under), Junior (ages 12-14), and Senior (ages 15-21).

MBA Cameo Classic Tournament
This is a Women's/Girl's tournament, which is rather unique, as it includes competition in three different bowling centres.  IMPORTANT: IF THERE ARE NOT AT LEAST 10 PAID ENTRIES BY 3 DAYS BEFORE THE TOURNAMENT, IT WILL BE CANCELLED!!

WTBA Marinelli City Singles Tournament

This tournament is a two-day open scratch event (both men and women can enter).  On Saturday, all of the competitors bowl 8 games at Chateau or Laverendrye Lanes, with the top 16 total scores moving on to the day 2 finals, which will be held at Laverendrye or Chateau Lanes (each year the Day 1 and Day 2 sites are switched). The scores from day 1 are not carried forward, and the competitors bowl 8 games of match play in the final round.  The top 5 at the end of match play participate in a stepladder final.  All bowlers must hold a C.T.F. membership for the current season.

WTBA 5-Divisional Singles Tournament

This tournament is a mixed event.  Each participant bowls against others in their average category.  You bowl 4 games, but get to discard your lowest game.  All bowlers must hold a C.T.F. membership for the current season.

WTBA Allan Boes Singles Tournament

This tournament is a mixed handicapped event, open to all our bowlers.  All bowlers must hold a C.T.F. membership for the current season.

WTBA Annual Tournament
This association annual tournament is now held on 1 weekend.  There will be Singles, Doubles, and Team events, in Women's, Men's, and Mixed categories.  This is a handicapped event, and always attracts a lot of entries, so come on out, and join the fun!! All bowlers must hold a C.T.F. membership for the current season.

179 & Under Tournament
This tournament will be conducted as a singles event consisting of 4 games plus Handicap. All bowlers must hold a C.T.F. membership for the current season and have a current average of 179 or less to be eligible to bowl in this tournament.

Tournament of Champions

This tournament is for the man and the woman who had the highest CTF average for the previous season in their league). See your league secretary for more details.  
Hi-Lo Doubles Tournament
Each league will be permitted to qualify four sets of doubles – 2 women’s doubles and 2 men’s doubles. The four bowlers in each group will be the 2 highest and the 2 lowest league averages from the previous bowling season. The high and the low average bowler will form one set of doubles. If any or all of the original two highest and lowest average bowlers are unable to compete, then the 2nd, 3rd, 4th etc., highest/lowest average bowlers are permitted to compete. Junior bowlers on an adult league are eligible to participate. See your league secretary for more details.
